Yup that would be because it is the private schools which are coaching these girls at the highest level. I hope your daughter attends a private school or you can kiss her D1 dreams goodbye.
ClubLacross.org has a good database of player commitments. For the 2026s, there are 73 girls committed from DC, MD, and VA who have the name of their high school shown in the data currently.
Of the 73, there are 61, or 84% of the total, from private schools.

Let me get right on that after I grab some lunch. Should I pick something up for you? My treat.

Anonymous wrote:This is incorrect. What matters most is whether they can play. Once that box is checked, getting seen by coach(es) at schools of interest is next. Various entities can help with this, most definitely club is one of them, but there are myriad ways of doing it.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:What stands out most to me with the ‘26 Capital Blue Team is that all of the commits thus far attend private schools.

I thought what mattered most was the club you played for?

Pack a lunch with that sleeping bag
Yes, I do not get this.
It was a typo. Which has already been posted. Someone was complaining about the 27s' competition level, so merely pointed out it was the same as the previous year's. The 27s averaged 5-6 gpg.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:The 27s played top teams all year, arguably better competition than the 26s. 2027 capital team played in the 2nd tier of brackets last Fall and Summer. Expect the same for 2028.
Looking at Capital’s unreal recruiting success at ‘26, I sincerely hope the ‘27s move up to the top tier of tournaments to maximize their exposure to recruiters.
The 26s need worry about scoring more than 5+ goals a game or half the team or more isn't going anywhere.
This did not age well.
