I really wish we could see the shoes.
I keep seeing this but politely disagree with you all! I think a spring yellow is like a daffodil or a butter...lighter, more creamy, pale. This is saturated and reads as a late summer/early fall yellow to me.
+1
Completely agree. This is no pale, spring, pastel yellow. It's a deep, vibrant yellow/gold and perfect for late summer/early fall.
Right. When I think of "spring yellow" I think of the yellow dress she actually wore to the last UK state dinner:

That's a spring yellow!
That is *gorgeous*! I don't think I ever saw this one, thanks for posting!
Does anyone know who designed this beautiful dress? It's absolutely lovely.
J. Mendel
That is a beautiful dress but my first thought was that it looks like what a female character like Liv Tyler or Cate Blanchett in the Lord of the Rings would wear.
It's stunning. Classical Grecian goddess elegance.

Poor Kate is skeletal. When you are already an unhealthy weight and get sick, that’s so tough. Hope she recovers.

This! Look at those hands! Purple.
Also, menopause is hitting Melania hard. I’m surprised since she has access to so much more than the rest of us. Compare her with Demi Moore. Demi is, overall, much better looking without overdoing it. Both brunettes, both had work. One not an evil villain.

When I first glanced at this picture it seemed like the belt was skin tone.
I actually had that same reaction to the first photo from a greater distance. Like a second of "oh my god is she doing a bare midriff at Buckingham Palace???" before I realized it was a belt.
The weirdest thing is the dress looks just like the green dress Kate wore to the Earthshot Prize -https://www.harpersbazaar.com/uk/fashion/a42139785/kate-middleton-rents-green-dress-earthshot-prize/
Its almost an exact copy except the colors and the belt.
Well, we know Mel likes to copy people like Michelle Obama so this is not a surprise.

Wow, ahead in flats. I wonder if there was a specific instruction that heels would not work for this outing. It’s a cute outfit although I’m sure someone will complain about white after Labor Day.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:I kind of like the colors but I think it looks like she’s going to an Easter party
It's a different color combo for sure. But I like that. It would be so easy to do yellow with a neutral belt, but I like that it's a color combo you don't see a lot. Makes it look fresh.

This dress from the first visit was actually nice. The shade is lovely, and the fabric flow is gorgeous.
I know I wrote this before but I can't believe how much better DT looked back then compared to now, and I thought he looked terrible back then!

That green one Kate wore was a rented dress, and not well liked. But it was appropriate for the type of event.
This is white tie court dress in early fall/ very late summer. I honestly think MT chose these outfits to mock the events or overrode her stylists choices at her own risk.
