MLSN is so far superior to ECNLB that at some point GA will become superior to ECNLG simply by dragging the girls side along with the ECNLB->MLSN conversion.

What happens when an MLS homegrown club is in Richmond


They have two AD clubs now. Both are new. Not sure if either is ready to move to HG anytime soon. Maybe RU will move.

On the boys side the level of play is down from years past. We were down at Jeff Cup this weekend and family friends are at GA in Florida. The difference in the level of play is striking.

Penn Rising coming out of the LVU + Hex Dominion consolidation gives GA exactly what it’s been missing in that corridor a true, unified player pool with real scale behind it. Wait, Penn Rising has MLS Next?


Yes, Eastern PA has basically been a 2-club MLS NEXT market (Delco + PA Classics) for a while, which is why the Penn Rising addition is a big deal. It finally gives the Lehigh Valley its own top-tier pathway instead of kids commuting toward Philly or Lancaster.

Not a crowded landscape like Jersey, but that’s exactly why PR matters. It fills a real geographic and player pool gap.
