The 2026 LI Express team has a Connecticut kid, and has plucked kids from all over the island for this tournament. They are entering 2 teams. That allows them to continue to add talent and then bump the bottom half to their B team who likely wont even advance though the qualifiers. 100 miles from LI covers quite a large area.

He coaches 24 and 28 and has kids on those teams. 25-27 you probably don’t have that issue. Also Madlax is a much less good option if you are outside the top 16 or so players on that team. True everywhere but especially ML. Heard 27 has weird issues because of the BLC movement over the summer. But at least the top team is winning a lot of games so lots of talent there.
Does the ML owner have a 2026 son? I know that my son played against him while Maddux was coaching. Interesting that he is a 2024 and in HS while my true 2026 is in 7th grade.
In fact, I think he had 2 kids on that "2026" Madlax team
Twin sons are 24's at L and another son 28 at L as well.
