Family reunion in Florida in two weeks. Rented a huge house, would just hang out there with fam coming from other places (all domestically). Would avoid theme parks and such, but would need to fly to Florida. Continue as planned?

Napa Valley next week? (Would be going with girlfriends, no kids or elderly at home to worry about.)

On Carnival cruises, we now have until March 31st to reschedule should we choose to. If we do not, and go on the ship we will receive $200 to spend. This is for all customers, even those without insurance. I am glad they are doing the right thing.

I am scheduled to go during spring break and I will now wait a few weeks to decide, but I am glad to have this piece of mind that I will not be out a lot of money. Luckily, my airfare is also through Southwest, so that will be easy to change.

Feeling better today.

Yep. A new study out of Hong Kong said the estimated true fatality rate for coronavirus is 1.4%. Say 50% of the US population gets it and 1.4% die -- that's roughly 2.1 million deaths. That's terrifying.

The idea is to STOP THE SPREAD. If we can limit the spread by limiting travel, we should do that. I’m not terribly concerned about getting sick myself, but I don’t want to be a carrier who infects other people. We need to think about others.

??? Until people stop going to work, school, church, and the grocery store no one is stopping the spread. It’s already here, it’s already there. Unless you are sick, carry on.

Ya'll are fools. The cruise will be a GHOST SHIP. But it will still go on. Cruise lines make $1 million a day for every ship they set sail. All of their workers are primarily 90% international and the majority of those from third-world Southeast Asian or Eastern European countries without the ability or the worker protections to say 'I'm not going to work this month'.

The ships will still set sail with a full crew and half the cabins full. Just be prepared to either be on the ship or to lose whatever it is you paid in the first place.

Different cruise poster here. I’m fine with that, because if they cancel everyone is refunded.
