Can't speak for the 2007s specifically, but historically Loudoun is not great at promoting from within. They tend to put you in your box and leave you there (this happens notoriously at cattle call tryouts, too -- so IF you do want to be considered, be sure to contact them and attend a practice before going to any ID session.) There are MANY Loudoun Black (and even a few Loudoun White, Silver, etc.) players now sprinkled around on the top teams at other area clubs at many age groups. They weren't getting noticed at Loudoun even though they obviously are/were good players.

Sounds like the GD when they played FCV 07 three times.
That's just par for the course for Loudoun 07 Red.
Will they promote second team players to fill out the roster or will they add through ID’s? DD is 07 and am curious.

Regardless of the recruitment part of your argument, whats the logic for the transition of the best at 9v9 and 11v11? We’ve all seen girls have no problem shooting from the top of a 9v9 box and in 11v11 try something similar and it barely makes it to the penalty mark. CMs cant take the pressure, cant make the pass or have no outlets. While many of the qualities do continue to shine, some just never make the transistion from appearing “great” under u13 to that at older. And trust, one or two key players leaves/changes and your team is just not the same.

Your money on Loudon to do what?
To transition better to 11v11 than FCV. I would rather have my DD playing the very best in the country right now 9v9 then vs lower level competition in 11v11. I guess that's why Loudoun and FCV don't play anymore. The results settled it 22-1 in 3 games. They are not in the same league.
PP mentioned Richmond United and VDA. FCV and Loudon aren’t even in the same league, right?

Honestly it is hard to worry about 11v11 when you have to play the best teams in the US in 9v9. The best teams and players probably do the best at making the transition to 11v11. Don't you think?
