Invoking her motherhood and gender only underscored how unhinged she was and unable to control herself. There are ways for her to address her assertion that she was unfairly treated. That was most certainly not it.
let's stop pretending that Serena was upset because she was "unfairly treated". She was upset because she was losing. When she had a break up in the second set she completely forgot about the "injustice". Only after she lost the break did she started to care about equal rights again lol.
+1 I had been rooting for Serena. She played so well for parts of the tournament and to win only a year after a difficult childbirth would have been an amazing feat. But Naomi flat out outplayed her. I wish Serena accepted that loss with grace rather than wrapping herself in the cloak of unfair treatment.
+2.
She destroyed the amazing moment for Naomi.
She doesn't seem to give a damn about black women other than herself

I hate it when somebody is called out on their obvious poor behavior and they immediately hide behind the cloak of racism and sexism.....it's dishonest and deceitful. The real thief in that march was Serena.....she stole what should have been a wonderful moment from Osaka.
I hate when people don't realize their own biases. And accept sexist behavior from refs. Not only that, they ignore the sexist overtones of his actions and excuse it, instead focusing on the angry behavior at the woman who is pissed for being treated differently.
That includes YOU PP.

For the men who hate Serena, I get it. In sports there's always a villain. Whether it's because she's dominant, unattractive, intimidating, or black, you have your reasons to not like her. I get it...it's sports and you can have your own opinion.
However, for the women railing against Serena, shame on you! Serena has single handedly raised the profile of women's tennis (and women's sports) to a level 10x higher than it was before she arrived. Nobody, besides true women's tennis fans ever watched a women's match before her. She (and Venus) are solely responsible for the television ratings and prize money being equal to the men's. She is a pioneer in giving women their own sportswear and product endorsements. In short, she is the most significant thing to happen to women's sports since Title IX.
Now you women wonder why men don't take women's athletics seriously. You don't support each other and when someone is dominant, aggressive and outspoken, you turn on her.
We all know that this discussion has nothing to do with what happened during the US Open Finals.
oh so men can call Serena ugly and hate her because she is black but women must worship her every tantrum? take your misogyny elsewhere asshole.
