Interesting that Next Level's very successful 2023 Red team has almost completely disbanded and not many of the kids went up to the Blue team - they switched clubs.

Watch out Madlax and DC Express. Next Level is the new king of holdbacks.

In my kid's year, there are a half-dozen players from VA. A few from farther out VA.

If I was ML or VLC, I'd be looking over my shoulder.

Did you try out for VLC and NL?

In past years i would say this is unusual. But with the rise of NL, even VA players are considering the move across the river.

Why in the world would anyone want to make the commute across the river to make practices? It would take well over an hour just from Arlington.

Zaga players are trying to turn NL into their farm team.

New poster. My reaction is so what if they are drinking a few brewskies after a long day of tryouts, assessing the results.

Right and to be clear, those NL guys drink cases of beer while they go over the tryouts from that day. Nice to know they're being serious and thoughtful.

This is totally false and disappointing, even for this site. I've been at NL when the decisions are being made. I can only hope this was Cabel posting this.

They used to be seen as the good guys, but I’ve heard some stories following tryouts this past weekend that make clear they are just like the rest of the clubs in that they prioritize wins over player and team development. Seems they had no problem tearing an existing, bonded team apart this weekend in order to bring on shiny new players who have no track record with the club.

yep.....2025

Are you talking about the 2025 A team going 0-7 in HoCo or are you talking about the 2025 B team going 4-3 and winning the playoffs? If I'm an A team parent/kid, I would expect to be torn apart. If I'm a B team parent/kid, I'd expect to be given a chance to make the A team. If I'm looking for a team, this looks like a good team to try to get a shot on a roster. Sorry, this sounds like sour grapes.
Is last year’s NL Red (B team) now called NL - PG County, with newly formed team which will be called NL Red?

Do parents actually think a kid should make the team because "they have a track record" with the team.

Either you are good enough to make a team or there is somebody better.

Do people think because you have been with the club for a few years they should just let you stay on the team?
