Same reason they don't report every house that has kids boozing it up.

Well maybe they should! I would at least know which houses my kids need to steer clear of.

Then you'd just have to hope they didn't go there. From reading these posts you'd think the parents enticed the kids in. Newsflash! Teenage kids want to go to parties. Many go to them and tell their parents they're going somewhere else. Anyone who doesn't understand that was never a teen.

And any parent believing their teen without verification, is getting duped. Any the kids are laughing at your stupidity.

*And, not any.

The police issued a citation for something, according to news reports. If you're curious, you can go to the courthouse and look it up.

Then you're the one who keeps defending the crime? Why should anyone walk away from something like this?? For God's sake, the kid has a freaking history of this kind of irresponsible behavior. If it was a regular person, you'd be outraged if he walked away with his parents paying a little fine.

But oh yes, he's the star quarterback with a wealthy family. Thanks.

Your wild speculation doesn't help anything. Are you familiar with the legal system?

I posted about knowing the father. It was the first time I posted so no, I wasn't defending the crime on this thread. Geez, people jump to a lot of conclusions here. My point was only to respond to the comment that he must be a spoiled rich kid by virtue of the town he lives in.

Not everybody in Potomac is rich, but very few people are poor.

So Wooton is 95% rich and 5% poor, no middle class?

Re-read, please.

However, at least in Montgomery County, neighborhoods with almost no poor people typically are rich, not middle-class (although the rich people may consider themselves middle-class, rather than rich).

So how do you define rich?

This is the most absurd thing I have heard. He will not walk away from this. He will have jail time. I am sure he will also have to deal with depression and many other issues. The think that upsets me the most is that the host family and the person that provided the alcohol will probably not get those things.

As a parent with teens, I would like to think that I can trust other parents to supervise and not provide alcohol, but that doesn't happen. I can try to protect my kids all I want, but the parent that provides the least supervision is the house that will allow things like underage drinking to begin. I really hope the host house and the kid whose house it was and the person that bought or sold the alcohol feel as much guilt as the driver.
