That pretty much sums it up.
It does if you were attempted to demonstrate what nonsense looks like.
You must live in the FOX News bubble. You have absolutely no clue if you think that's "nonsense."
Have you always been so stupid, or just recently? See

Neo-nazis are right wing extremists, just like skinheads and other white supremacists.
The national socialist party is right wing? BWAHAHHAHAHAAAA.
Okay, I've seen this at least twice on this thread, so I assume that at least one poster is really confused. The National Socialist German Worker's party was NOT a socialist or Communist group. You know them better as the Nazis. Modern white supremacists like to refer back to Hitler and the Nazis.

It wasn't politically expedient 5 years ago or even 5 months ago for politicians to try to talk about the shitty symbolism of the flag. Now all of that has changed. I'm glad the Republicans are showing some leadership here.

What's a Floridian? A New Yorker? A Texan? What if you father is from Texas but his parents are from Taiwan? Is he less of a Texan than a white person with parents who moved to Texas from Chicago 30 years ago?
I just want to know who is responsible for taking down the Confederate flag at this point.

As for Hillary...she might be an intellectual and economic elitist but I would be shocked to see proof of her being a racist.
Conservative here - she's not. Neither is Bill, despite their actions in Arkansas, and despite the fact he played golf at an all-white club. That's what makes this hilarious, when y'all call republicans racist for supporting the very piece of history that Bill and Hillary did. Either they, as well as the republicans you accuse, are racist, or neither are.
I will give you the KKK. THEY are racist. And are historically democratic. And Lord knows Johnson was!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r1rIDmDWSms
Now? I think they are more likely to put up their own candidate that we can all ignore.
We've already been through the whole "KKK/Democrat" thing. The KKK "Democrats" were Dixiecrats who split off from the mainstream Democrats, and who are basically the Tea Party of today. Their ideology has virtually nothing to do with Democrats of today.
We are doing it again, until you get it right. The FACT is, the KKK overwhelmingly supported democrats back in the day, and for good reason. The Tea Party is not even remotely associated with the KKK - that is simply the progressive wet dream.
Again, you are suffering from mental dysfunction. The Dixiecrats that dominated southern politics and who were involved in the KKK SPLIT OFF from the Democrats and had far more ideology in common with the Tea Party of today than they do with liberals of today. The "Democrat" label is meaningless no matter how desperate you are to try and make the case. As for the Tea Party "not even remotely associated" - again you are either delusional or in deep denial of the facts. The typical Tea Party rally would quite frequently have confederate flags and racist epithets featured in its midst.

Something from nearly 45 years ago - not particularly relevant today.
You just know so much history about that flag- did jimmy carter feel it was a symbol of hatred and worse towards blacks?
And if not, then when did it become one?
When did the flag become a symbol of hatred and worse toward blacks?
How about looking at what its designer, William Tappan Thompson, said about what it meant as a symbol:
As a people, we are fighting to maintain the Heaven-ordained supremacy of the white man over the inferior or colored race; a white flag would thus be emblematical of our cause.
Such a flag…would soon take rank among the proudest ensigns of the nations, and be hailed by the civilized world as THE WHITE MAN'S FLAG.
As a national emblem, it is significant of our higher cause, the cause of a superior race, and a higher civilization contending against ignorance, infidelity, and barbarism. Another merit in the new flag is, that it bears no resemblance to the now infamous banner of the Yankee vandals.
When did it become a symbol of hatred and worse toward blacks? It was a symbol of hatred and worse from the day it was designed.
The flag referred to here that has been flying in South Carolina (Stars and Bars) and you claim was designed by Thompson was not designed by him. He designed a flag that was adopted as the flag in 1863 that was known as the Stainless Banner because it had a pure field of white with the battle flag in the upper left hand corner. The flag in question (Stars and Bars) was designed by William Porcher Miles and was rejected as the national flag in 1861 but went on to be the battle flag of the Army of Northern Virginia. Since that time it has been commonly called the Confederate Flag but it never was.
So, your quote by Thompson does not apply to the commonly called Stars and Bars flag.
The intent remains and is crystal clear.
