AV's Ristorante on New York Ave. Sitting the dining room with their huge fireplace and a roaring fire as I dug into a stuffed artichoke followed by Chicken Parmesan. Heaven!

Also on NY Ave., Marrakesh was a beautiful setting, great food and a very memorable experience. Miss that place.

Houston's in Bethesda when I worked at the Discovery Channel in the late 90s. Fond memories.

Closed due to road expansion.

That place was awesome—a total throwback. We were lucky to go there a few times before the beltway wiped it out.

All in Georgetown

Georgetown cafe (many a late late late night eating there).
Old Glory (it was only there a few years, but very fun).
Paolo's (they had a great tapanade with bread sticks)
Hamburger Hamlet

So many fun food memories.

Two Quail on Capitol Hill.

It was decorated like a Victorian grandmothers living room (weird, but comfy), the service was impeccable and the food was great.
