I think posters are responding to the premise. No, MAGA does not regret their vote. Neither do non-MAGA Republicans. Neither do swing voters. That’s clear. I think people who are frustrated and scared are hoping that someone will save us. That MAGA will start protesting. That elected MAGA will finally do something. The reality is that nobody is coming to save us. There’s more of us and we’ll have to resist the entire way, but there’s not going to be an a-ha! moment. It’s not coming.
In fact, I just met a college student today who said he wanted to be a Capitol police officer. When I told him that our neighbor was one and had told us how hard it was on 1/6, he looked at me blankly. “What’s that?” he asked. I explained, and said, “Huh, never heard of it.”
We have to stop denying reality. MAGA is happy.

It was the pushing of gender changes on kids that rubbed a lot of Democrat Christians (many black women) the wrong way. And taking on too many issues to push too hard too fast that we knew would put a sour taste in people’s mouth, whether justified or not. But we all still voted Blue No Matter Who. Same reason we can believe that abortion is immoral in God’s eyes as Christians but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t have a right to make decisions about our bodies.
The black Christian Democratic vote is misunderstood and very powerful. Thats why it always surprises people when we mobilize our communities.
The Democrats have become very strict about conformity. Everyone has to accept the platform, no disagreement allowed. African-Americans are less enthusiastic about forced injections, due to a hard-earned understanding of US Gov’t history, but rich white liberals don’t accept that. They relate more to the compromised rich whites in the revolving door between CDC/FDA and pharmaceutical companies. These are their people. But that’s not the biggest issue. The biggest issue for black Christians is that the Party is increasingly hostile to Christianity.
Yeah, Republicans were so accepting of dissent during Operation Iraqi “Freedom.” No Republican EVER labeled anyone opposed to the war as “not patriotic,” and “Freedom” Fries were just something I dreamed up.
Now the parties have switched and the Democrats are all-in on war in Ukraine, and they say that anyone who wants peace is a Putin-loving traitor.

It is a huge blind spot that is frequently shut down when some people tried to explain, it was justified away. It was the pushing of gender changes on kids that rubbed a lot of Democrat Christians (many black women) the wrong way. And taking on too many issues to push too hard too fast that we knew would put a sour taste in people’s mouth, whether justified or not. But we all still voted Blue No Matter Who. Same reason we can believe that abortion is immoral in God’s eyes as Christians but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t have a right to make decisions about our bodies.
The black Christian Democratic vote is misunderstood and very powerful. Thats why it always surprises people when we mobilize our communities.
The Democrats have become very strict about conformity. Everyone has to accept the platform, no disagreement allowed. African-Americans are less enthusiastic about forced injections, due to a hard-earned understanding of US Gov’t history, but rich white liberals don’t accept that. They relate more to the compromised rich whites in the revolving door between CDC/FDA and pharmaceutical companies. These are their people. But that’s not the biggest issue. The biggest issue for black Christians is that the Party is increasingly hostile to Christianity.

And are these African American Christians that this person is speaking for also happy with MAGA’s systematic erasure of blacks and women from history, and the reframing of slavery as a good thing for all involved? Are they cool with the fact that the MAGA version of Christianity has become so twisted, hateful, and distorted that when an Episcopal bishop beings up the teachings of Christ, she gets death threats?
