Better hope your kid won’t be gay, disabled, or elderly at some point during their life.
As someone whose parents taught me this, and sent me to private school so I wouldn't be near any "DEI" kids, it was quite a rude awakening when I developed an autoimmune disease and became disabled.
I am not sure I understand.
Haven’t disabled people been treated well thus far?
Until now, yes, but the current administration is not so kind. Trump despises disabled people (remember when he made fun of the crippled journalist?). The Silicone Valley crowd are heavily into eugenics and survival of the fittest. Nazis, whose ideology Musk has been flirting more and more heavily with, view the disabled as useless eaters who are a drain on society and best disposed of. It’s no coincidence that the DOGE team is gutting the social safety net first.
What the tech bros haven’t realized is that everybody, including them, will spend at least part of their lives disabled and dependent on other people. Not just as a baby, but as an aging person subject to infirmities. An accident, an illness, a difficult pregnancy, or a broken bone can also put someone in that category, sometimes permanently.

Anonymous wrote:I remember when being openly gay meant you would be denied housing, employment and often put you in danger of serious physical injury, including death. (remembering Matthew Shepard). As a parent of a gay young adult, I am terrified that the US under the White Christian nationalist agenda will return us to those days.

Who do you think receives the Medicaid they are gutting? RFK wants to ban psychiatric medications.

Australia has its own maga infection, though it’s a much more minor case.
It helps people stay within bounds of common sense. It’s not normal when pre teens can get gender therapy. I’ll take “maga infection” that doesn’t allow it
