But today, she’s just cool with casual sex. No announcement, no explanation. No, “I searched the scriptures and prayed and ultimately decided that Jesus is cool with me having sex with my boyfriend.”

Glennon and Jen are both people I started following years ago around the same time as each other, and now I can't take my eyes off the train wrecks they both have become. They're both cringe-worthy in different ways. Anyway, if you want to check that out, go here: https://www.reddit.com/r/EDAnonymous/comments/102ke1e/glennon_doyles_newest_podcast_episode_anorexia/

There is very little in the 2023 church that is different than the broader culture when it comes to sexual expression. Sex before marriage is okay while not it's exactly talked about in polite church circles be it heterosexual or homosexual or all of the above. In general, marriage is still encouraged in general but no one bats an eye regarding cohabitating or no-fault divorce. Those who are still old school regarding sex in the church are definitely the weirdo minority now days.
I think this largely depends on the type of church you attend. Some “traditional” churches still do exist, and teach that sex outside of marriage is a sin.
