Neither the Dems nor the Repubs offer much hope for peace. I am considering leaving this country for the sole reason that I can't live with financially contributing, through my taxes, to the genocide. It's not even about Trump vs. Harris. I know just a small part of my taxes is given to Israel, but I feel quite sick thinking I personally helped pay for a shell that dismembered a child or a bomb used to damage a hospital offering life-saving treatment or the salaries of the savages who raped Dr. Al-Bursch to death. I can't do it anymore. I can't be complicit any longer.

Um, news flash: your tax dollars have supported ruthless dictators who wantonly kill civilians for decades.

If you’re just waking up to this today, I seriously question your worldliness.

In my lifetime, the U.S. has not comprehensively supported and financed a genocide on the scale of the Gaza genocide and the current crimes against humanity in the West Bank. I give a lot of tax dollars to Uncle Sam, and I can't live with myself and continue to help fund evil.

Are you like 20 years old? Because we killed more people in Iraq/Afghanistan, we killed more people in Vietnam through direct action.

Don't forget the post-war sanctioned atrocities of US servicemen in the occupied Philippines, Japan, and ROK.

Are you seriously suggesting that past atrocities justify the comprehensive massacre, illegal detention, and extra-judicial executions of civilians in Gaza? How low can you stoop?

All doctors in Gaza work (or, in Dr. Al Bursch's case, worked) for UNRWA. If you think that makes it OK to illegally abduct him and then rape and torture him to death, you are one sick pup.

There won’t be any outcry because Israelis believe he deserved it whether he’s guilty or not. No hostage mind you had reported rape from Hamas.

Israelis are the rapists and the savages here. Rape has always been their favorite weapon of war against Palestinians

Rape is indefensible. It would not be justified by the rape of the hostages.
But it is also indefensible to pretend that Hamas didn't rape then kill Israelis on October 7th and continue to rape and sexually assault the hostages.

It doesn't take a lot of googling to find stuff like this: https://www.cnn.com/2024/03/26/middleeast/amit-soussana-israeli-hostage-hamas-sexual-assault-intl/index.html
"Earlier in March, the United Nations published a report indicating that rape and gang rape, among other acts of sexual violence, likely occurred during the October 7 Hamas attack and said there was “clear and convincing” evidence that hostages were raped while being held in Gaza, and that those currently held captive are still facing such abuse. "

Can you stop with your lies. Hamas did not rape anyone. Only the Israeli raped and did it in a systematic and organized way. The NYT stories, management and reporters have been thoroughly discredited. What is wrong with you people?

DP.

You are aware that this is a UN report, right?

FFS.

No it was not. There was no rape by Hamas. Only clear documents systematic rape used as a means of terrorizing Palestinian prisons of war. That it.

They particularly believed he deserved to die because: 1) he was documenting their atrocities, and 2) he was saving Palestinian lives by working around the clock in Gazan hospitals, even performing surgery while himself injured and bleeding. Dr. Al-Bursch was an exceptional and selfless doctor and human being. He will be remembered with admiration and respect.

Wasn't around for Vietnam. The worst of the Iraq/Afghanistan atrocities were over before I started paying taxes.

I have no idea how old you are, but odds are you’re either wrong or being rather selective in your definitions.

Indeed, you’ve personally helped finance the ethnic cleansing of the Uighurs by purchasing goods from state-controlled Chinese manufacturers (including the very phone you’re typing on).

Ever smoked weed or done X? You’re paying the cartels, who’ve killed 350k-450k civilians.

And of course, regardless of your age, your tax dollars have supported a wide variety of horrific things, the sum total of which far exceed the toll in Faza.

The Uyghur situaiton is terrible but nowhere near as bad as Gaza. Never done drugs. Don't trivialize genocide by saying, "Well, other situations were worse."

This was what Trump and Netanyahu negotiated. I'm all out of outcry. My outcry about Palestine has run dry. Go wag your fingers at Trump and his voters, because I'm done.

Promise?
