You cannot blame the players, they play the style that coaches teach them. Ugly? Yes. Effective? Yes, most of the time. Will they start losing at older ages, when technical and tactical skills start playing more important role? Absolutely, unless they manage to restock the team with players from outside the club.

The girl side is very different from the boys side. The girls side is about physicality and athleticism. The technical and tactical skills just do not have as much importance as you think. A lot less girls play vs boys. This translates to less technical girls and slower speed of play. Coaches/clubs reinforce this with the type of player selected and training(strength and conditioning vs technical training). Speed and physicality will be chosen over skill because that is the girl’s game. There is little pressure for girl travel to change. Also the boys play fifa and watch the European leagues and champions league. You actually see how the game is played. Some girls do this but not many(and if it is just one girl on the team it does not have an impact).

Kick ball wins! Speed is the only thing that matter.
Watch college soccer 90% is kick ball

Many Arlington haters blind to recognize this
Or how about, wow Virginia Union and Arlington and others my have actually exceeded expectations and have improved this year, good for them. Not a parent of either, but probably a more accurate statement versus justifying away wins, ties and losses. ❤️
Do these teams replaced players or are they doing this well with most of the players from last season? That’s they way I can measure some improvement.
