Apparently he got paid 11k. I was watching a Court TV discussion after the trial yesterday and they compared it to what some of the prosecution experts were paid. I can't remember the exact amount but it was significantly higher than 11k and one of them mentioned how "you get what you pay for".Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Yikes, the defense really screwed up with this expert witness.
How could this guy be so bad?! Didn’t he basically say that this (being a “consultant”) is his full time job? And he got paid five figures? You would think he’d treat this like the performance of his life, but he seems like he’s phoning it in. I just don’t understand how someone can be this bad when the stakes are so high. It’s almost like he wanted to throw the case, but he doesn’t seem smart enough for that kind of strategizing.

Do you mean on the video footage from the day of the incident or in court? Either way, I disagree. What did the judge do that made you think he noticed something? Also, I don't think they bailed o questioning her, the defense and prosecution went back and forth with her a couple of times. I think the defense was very limited in what they could ask her. I think that's been the case for most of the witnesses he's brought in so far, which is why each witness has not been on the stand very long at all.Anonymous wrote:It’s not being mentioned, but the witness in the car Ms. Hill appeared extremely under the influence of something, so much that the Judge noticed and the Defense and Prosecutor bailed on questioning her. I guess it’s irrelevant since it was not confirmed.
