I’m a women and it doesn’t matter what she’s called, she’s still a fraud.

You're missing the point of "psychic readers" - they're all for entertainment.

She helped me. I'm a Christian. She is real. As real as I believe the Holy Spirit is, and the universal laws of attraction and the metaphysical world that astrophysicists seek to understand is.
So, good madame, we can agree to disagree about this because I believe wholeheartedly SR is neither deceptive nor fake. She didn't have to give in the way she did/does. And honestly? You cannot prove anything otherwise. But my experience is my proof. I lurked her updates over many years before I finally reached out and she helped me develop an understanding of a part of my circumstance in a way that no one else could without a gift. And that is what it is - a gift.

I love her. She changed my life. I will never judge or look at things in the same way again; her truth doesnt threaten my own or anyone else's either.

More entertainment.

The funny think about the DCPS forum is that there is this band of NW parents who basically have no concept that anyone else in the city might post or have a concern or opinion. I can't count the number of times I've posted a question in there about something broad, like the lottery or questions about when information is being released about plans, and people will respond with the assumption that my kid goes to Lafayette or Deal or whatever some of those NW schools are. And if I reply "no, I'm in Brookland" or whatever, they're like "Oh, I can't help you."

The parents in that school pyramid in upper NW are pretty convinced that they are the only ones who matter and it's exhausting. And even more exhausting is when you post a comment and people say stuff like "Whatever go back to your rich, white NW enclave! No one cares what you think!" because even the other posters assume that 90% of the people posting on the forum go to this one school cluster. It's comical.

That lady is disturbed.

I feel like everyone in DC is like this. Unless you were born here, you’re a transplant, even if you’ve lived here for 10+ years.

It’s the same in Colorado if not worse. People are openly hostile to newcomers. In fact they even put stickers on their car that say native.

I'm from Colorado (live in DC now) and remember those stickers. The annoying thing about them is that there are many actual Natives in Colorado but they aren't the ones bragging about being "Colorado natives." Those are just crunchy white people whose parents moved there in the 70s. It's obnoxious.

But PP, please know that there are lots of Coloradoans that aren't like that! And honestly, the population has boomed so much in the last 30-40 years that I would be surprised if you are surrounded by that many people who have lived there their whole lives. Even when I was in high school there, I feel like half my class were transplants. It's so common there.

The posters in the “worst engagement ring trend” thread. Complaining about how much they hate engagement rings. The only funny thing about the thread is that most don’t even understand what the word trend means.

Yeah I can’t look at the fitness forum at all because it’s all people stressing about losing weight or thin people chastising people who aren’t also thin.

The "If you are a size X, state your height and weight" threads are the worst. I sometimes can't resist looking at them and they are always a train wreck of people answering the OP (for some reason -- I do not understand why you would ask or answer this question), followed by pages and pages of people saying that PPs are lying or have eating disorders. It's like a ritual at this point.

Well I don’t believe in any of that stuff but I super enjoy her posts. And I don’t know how you can call somebody a fraud when they aren’t asking for anything in return.

The parents who start a thread every day with:
- New York schools are open!!
- Boycott LCPS.
- How can I recall the school board?
- Why can't my kid go to school tomorrow?

This. Also the people in the same threads who say stuff like "I'm sorry, my DH and I always communicate really effectively so I can't relate."

I also get annoyed with people like this in real life. Someone else's struggle should not just be used as an opportunity for you to feel superior.
