Well if you take her at her word, she would take rail if it were 2 hours faster, which is something she would like to do with the green new deal. I do not understand the level of obsession with her. She serves one district and appears to be serving them well.

AOC is the one seeking this attention. How can this "consideration be suspended" for her when she, herself, highlights it?

She put *herself* out there. Not her family.

She didn't do with Trump did by inserting Ivanka and Kushner and his sons into various high profile meetings, giving them positions and trotting them out everywhere in the public eye, let alone have her family out there getting embroiled in scandal after scandal.

There's a huge difference.

When she includes her boyfriend in a photo op, she is putting him out there. When her mother grants an interview to the media and then states that she hopes AOC will marry her boyfriend, her family is putting themselves out there. Give me a frickin' break.

Yes, we have.

In this thread accusations were made about AOC growing up in luxury and her family being set for life when in fact all her mom could afford from a lifetime of hard work and savings was a tiny 860 square foot fixer-upper house in a neighborhood riddled with drug dealers in a meh part of Florida. Certainly not even remotely the lap of luxury. I guess she should have instead been living in a cardboard refrigerator box to satisfy the jerks and to not have them call her a hypocrite.

AOC truly is the democrat version of Donald Trump. Just as ignorant, just as pompous and just as childish when anyone disagrees with her. And the media eats it up and puts her on a pedestal, which is exactly what she wants. I don't expect her to last long...her true colors are already starting to show.

Democrats aren't going to do anything. This is who they are. Meh. Don't hold your breath.

As an aside, Chuck DeVore has piece in Forbes about the assumptions about the politicized declarations of federal disasters made in the Green New Deal. It's a good read.
