That's why we need immigration reform! So that current illegals can pay into the system. They would and we would be a much richer country. Most people don't want to live here illegally. Jeez

I am an migrant and you are clueless about immigrants, especially illegals. We are not here to pay into your system, we are here to use your system.

OMFG. Immigrants who enter this country without documentation or simply overstay their visas pay billions in taxes.

https://news.vice.com/article/unauthorized-immigrants-paid-100-billion-into-social-security-over-last-decade

Even Heritage has determined that "illegals" pay upwards of $7,000,000,000 annually to Social Security. Then there's federal and state income taxes, sales taxes, real and personal property taxes. Just. Stop. Please.

So, what is your logic? For money you are willing to close your eyes on a crime? You are OK if your child will be rape as long as you making some cash???

This is why Trump is going to get elected.

People won't admit it publicly but they'll vote for him.

I'm voting for him. Lesser of two evils and hopefully a one termer and we can get a moderate in office.

I agree the polls could be skewed. That's because the liberals are almost abusive to those who won't support their candidate. I've had my neighbors stop speaking to me when I said I don't want to vote for HRC, and the name-calling, cursing, and insults on this forum when someone expresses a different opinion is astounding. It's like we're trying to be humiliated into silence by accusing us of ridiculous and untrue things.(Aside: Kirsten Power's book "Silenced" goes into how liberals suppress the voice of opposing opinions. Excellent read.)

You think you're abused because your neighbor stopped speaking to you and people give back what you dish out on the Internet? Oh my.

The behavior is almost abusive at times, yes, and makes it hard to believe that liberals really are the compassionate people they claim to be.

It's unclear to me where you got the idea that liberals are supposed to smile and make nice with people who are supporting racism and misogyny. I'm not going to spit at you or get violent or anything, but I'm not going to want to be friends with you either.

You aren't making a point, at least not a valid one. Pollsters do not disagree and they do not taunt. They don't even react. Half the time I'm not sure they've even heard my answer until they move to the next question. Seriously - if Trump supporters cannot say to an impartial audience who they are voting for, that doesn't say anything good about the strength of their beliefs.

Yes, liberals get angry about Trump. It's because he's saying unprecedented things threatening the civil liberties of traditionally oppressed and marginalized people. Many liberals fall into those categories of people. I'm sorry people don't stay as calm and dispassionate as you'd like when discussing these issues with you. This really isn't a liberal thing, though, if you live in a very conservative area and take a position contrary to the dominant one, you aren't exactly applauded or even treated respectfully all the time, either.

This statistic actually points out how severe the illegal immigration problem is. Note that Social Security deduction is compulsory, money is taken from the paycheck and submitted to IRS by the employer. But what about the non compulsory portion? You think the illegal immigrant is filing a tax return on that? "At least they are paying some", you may argue, but a legal immigrant or a citizen will be paying the full tax obligation. Think of all the tax revenue we've missed because of illegal immigration.

Income tax is also deducted from their paycheck whether they file taxes or not.

How much is lost in taxes when they work under the table? The question isn't if they pay some taxes; they do, but whether they come close to covering their costs to society.

How much is lost in taxes when the top 1% set up dodgy offshore accounts and shell companies in countries that sell themselves as tax havens?
I bet all that money is like 200x the amount you're whining about from less than minimum wage earners who are working under the table.

I hope you split your outrage between the immigrants exploiting the system and the AMERICAN EMPLOYERS who are hiring the illegally. FFS- it's a two way street but for some reason people are only mad at half of the equation. I wonder why...

Not to mention opportunity costs for American low-skilled workers.
