I hope the exams guy gets called up to go there as well. Permanently.

I really respect our veterans, but being a marine reserve officer is a big part of the exam guy’s shtick. I’d bet he spends more time on that than his day job.

I am surprised about all the hate for the head of exams. I dealt with him a decent bit years ago when he had a different role at the agency and he seemed like a decent person.

Why do people dislike him? Is it the lack of Exams experience? I’ll admit his background arguably made him more suited to the other role.

His antics are so the opposite of what being a true Marine is!

What antics? I hate enf and want to move somewhere else.

Of course he’s not doing anything about it.

She didn’t ask for the job. Then she got here and was surrounded by miserable people who she sympathized with.

Who knows what ultimately made her decide to quit abruptly. But I don’t know how they find someone to run enforcement when they don’t really want them bringing anything but fraud cases. And the SEC has how many fraud cases per year? A handful, maybe.

Thank her? This must’ve been happening deep behind the scenes because all the interactions with her are usually pretty terse. She really didn’t seem to care much about the staff at all anymore than PA. If she left, it’s probably cause she didn’t feel it was worth her time and she doesn’t need the money or the steppingstone.

Maybe a military mindset carryover? Keep the troops at a medium distance but go to bat for them with the brass?

PA sent mail. 3% raise.

also SLRP! of course, that will be new handcuffs for people that had almost aged out of previous SLRP agreements 😭

Poor you. Having to decide whether free money is worth staying for a job.

i'm pretty sure that the removal of the free money but being required to continue working for the SEC for three years is what has been driving the completely unhinged SEC poster these last couple years.

i don't have student loans so it's kind of irrelevant to me. also i like my job. and it pays well, lucky me.

I think the compensation email is great news! I’m excited for the raise and the return of cash rewards!!!

No one said you are getting a cash award. You will need to be working on one of the priority projects. Something that furthers making IPOs great again.

All I can say is embarrassing for PA. Gave the job to someone who didn’t ask for it and clearly didn’t want it. She did it anyways and couldn’t take it.
