And this ICE agent is yet another victim of Biden's border crisis.

This “Bellevue man” is a known Tren de Aragua terrorist who violently attacked federal law enforcement.

During the attack, the illegal alien threw an ICE agent to the ground, slammed her head into the pavement, ripped off her body armor, and made repeated and physical violent contact. The agent sustained serious injuries to her head and arm.

Gabriel Hurtado-Cariaco  entered the U.S. illegally in 2023—and Border Patrol removed him. In 2024—under the Biden administration—he re-entered the U.S. illegally and was released into the country with a notice to appear.

The Department of Justice has charged Gabriel Hurtado-Cariaco with attempted murder of a federal officer and assault of a federal officer with infliction of bodily injury.

Science is not built upon anecdotes .
An independent study just found that 90% of their detainees have never committed a violent crime.

So yeah, this is being implemented SO inefficiently that there are thousands of better ways to spend my tax dollars.

The violent/nonviolent distinction is meaningless. Identity theft, distribution of fentanyl, possession of child pornography, and possessing a handgun after a felony conviction are all nonviolent crimes. Do you think those types of criminals shouldn’t be deported?

DP... Studies and FOIAs of ICE's own data show that apart from crossing the border, more than 90% of them didn't commit any kind of crime whatsoever. No criminal history, no prior convictions, nothing.

Why are you trying to falsely smear them with being distributors of fentanyl, child porn et cetera when there's no evidence that most of them have any kind of history doing that?

More like Thanks Trump 1.0.

Look at this first term deportation numbers compared to Biden's.

Comparing deportations between Biden and Trump is simply an attempt at manipulating data.

Biden allowed in upward of 10 million illegal aliens.

Where's the data to prove this? It's just another MAGA talking point.

MAGA can't keep the figure straight. Sometimes Trump says it's 10 million--other times he says it's 20 million. He also often implies or outright says that many are dangerous criminals (rapists, murderers, etc.).

The fact that you don't believe this is actually sad. You are either totally ignorant or you have not been paying attention. Or, perhaps your sources don't report on these things because it would cause progressives' heads to burst.

I could go on.... but you get the idea. This is just the tip of the iceberg.

None of this justifies what is happening.

You are super bad at risk assessment.

This is why discussions with people like this are essentially fruitless.

They have a different America in mind than we do. Start with that fact and you realize you can toss out everything they say.

They may need deprogramming maybe but that's not our first concern.

This is the difference between those of us who believe we should enforce our border laws and get all those who are present illegally out of the country.

That illegal man from Egypt who attacked Jews in Colorado would have been considered a "hard working Colorado man who just wanted a better life" by the liberals here - until he wasn't. There are tons more like him - people here illegally who don't have a record (or one that we know about), but are not people we want here.

The US should be able to CHOOSE who immigrates here. That is not what is happening now.

I am all for looking at solutions for the dreamers - those who were BROUGHT here as children and they had no say in the matter. I am NOT for looking at solutions for their parents - they knew what they were doing was wrong.

Note, you said the Illegal man. He was here illegally. If he wasn't going through the asylum process, then liberaly, too, would want him out. You are really making a reach by suggesting liberals don't want border or border enforcement. But we also don;'t want a modern gestapo either and somehow Obama and Biden were able to deport millions of of "illegals" without having rogue forces terrorizing every day Americans.
They do not. Just yesterday they helped an illegal immigrant evade arrest in Colorado.

You think that this justifies what’s happening with ICE? I swear to god that maga is the absolute worst at calculating risk-reward. Or you just hate brown people that much.

How much money are we wasting on this? ICE is already over budget for the booger eating goons that they have, and they’ll have to hire more if they want to meet Miiler’s Gestapo quotas.

It is not a waste of money to deport illegal immigrants.

Absolutely, completely disagree.

At the current rate of spending for deporting illegals it will cost more than $650 billion to deport them all. That's insanely, stupidly expensive and a monumental waste of taxpayer dollars.

Instead we should be adjudicating cases and granting visas for the overwhelming majority of them and focusing ICE on going the 2.5% who are violent offenders or otherwise questionable.

ICE agents in tactical gear chase down and tackle a U.S. citizen in L.A.

After realizing he’s American, they just slink away.

Their only explanation: “Why were you running?”

Probably because two masked men with guns were trying to snatch him.

IOW from an exchange from "To Live and Die in LA:"

“Why are you running?”

“Because you’re chasing me!”

“Stop running!”

“Stop chasing me!”

Statement from NYC Bar about masked agents.

https://www.nycbar.org/press-releases/statement-on-wearing-of-masks-by-ice-agents/

Coupled with the new practice of face coverings during detentions, it becomes nearly impossible to distinguish the conduct of an imposter from that of an authorized agent. Even before this apparent mask policy went into effect, a rise in crimes perpetrated by individuals impersonating ICE agents and other law enforcement officers – including harassment, theft, extortion, assault, battery, sexual assault, and kidnapping – was being reported.[7] Tragically, at this writing, the suspect in the recent shootings of Minnesota state legislators and their spouses — two fatally — allegedly disguised himself as a police officer when approaching them at their respective residences at the time of the attacks.[8]

This is what scares me.

What's to stop an actual kidnapper getting a jacket with ICE on the back, putting on a face mask, and literally kidnapping an innocent person off the street in broad daylight? If it wasn't for the those filming what's going on, that victim could just disappear.

Scary times.

What stops an actual rapist from donning women’s clothing and entering women’s locker rooms and bathrooms?

An actual rapist is going to attempt to rape, no matter what.

We are talking about government agents or wannabe government agents. Kinda different, no?

DP, yes, of course.

But that isn't who ICE is going after. No one is complaining about the actual criminals ICE is pursuing. the complaints around the "everyone else" - the 95% of the people they have rounded up who have no criminal history, or worse, who are "in the system" trying to gain permanent legal status legally. Why is ICE going after THOSE people?

The poster I quoted was lamenting the deportation of those convicted of nonviolent offenses, which includes things like distributing fentanyl.

This administration is entirely performative (hence why half of them are from Fox or in their 20’s). They don’t value expertise. Don’t plan, use data or use strategy (see how DOGE made cuts). They are being led by morally bankrupt people who live to please Trump, and by extension Miller.

It is sick and sad. And our tax dollars are flying out the door to detain gardeners and gay hairstylists, while African babies with AIDS die needlessly.

I saw that video and one of the ICE agents was wearing tan Carhartt work pants. Their ad hoc uniforms are ridiculous.

ICE is a plainclothes agency, just like the DEA, FBI, ATF, and USMS. They get a clothing allowance every year to buy tan work pants. This isn’t new, nor is it unique to ICE.
