This just goes to show how effective propaganda is. Ukraine is decimated. Would these people like to go over there and fight themselves? Would they want us to give them $300 billion more for nothing? What’s the plan?
“Would you go over there and fight yourself” is the most nonsensical MAGA argument in the world. Hey MAGA - why aren’t you quitting your job and driving to the border to apprehend undocumented aliens?
I’m not MAGA. I’m the type of Democrat who really believed it when I said “No Forever Wars” when GWB was president.
Then you should be happy, because not a single US solider is fighting in Ukraine.
Yes, but we’re funding war and enriching the corrupt, evil military industrial complex and I am not for any of that either. I have principles. The same principles I had in 2004.

Fingers crossed! But it won’t matter until 2028. We tried preventing Republicans from running. Now we’re only left with good old fashioned campaigning. I worry that we can’t beat Vance if we keep trying to block deportations and cost-cutting.
By the time 2028 rolls around this DOGE nonsense will have cost WAY more than it saves, and won’t be framed as cost cutting at all.
The incredible waste that DOGE has created will be apparent long before 2028.
So stupid of Trump not to have gone through Congress to achieve his cuts. The GOP controls both chambers and the Democratic Party would have been hard pressed to justify not voting for federal funding cuts. Trump can’t manage his way out of a paper bag.
the bolded is my thing too...there is a legal way to do this, have hearings, define areas to cut and then cut them using the budget, and congress can decommission agencies or cabinet departments. the downside there is the accountability the GOP would hold to legally cut these things and face angry voters over it.
