Even if Joe Biden resigns and Harris becomes POTUS 47 and she takes over the campaign apparatus and funds (legally allowed since she is named on FEC documents), she will likely face lawsuits in state courts because the names "Joe Biden/Kamala Harris" are on the ballot. States may need to change laws to add a new VP candidate to the Democratic ticket. All of it will be challenged in court and then we will have the very undemocratic process of the Supreme Court saying who gets to run for POTUS/VP.
In short, this is concerning because states do not appear to have a seamless mechanism for replacing a candidate on the ballot if someone dies after they have won the state nominating race. It is effectively an unconstitutional extra requirement to someone running for POTUS or VP. It's a much bigger problem than Joe Biden.
Democrats are in huge trouble.
If they are stuck with Biden, then they should demand that both Biden and Trump submit to a thorough battery of neurological and cognitive exam administered by an independent panel of neurologists and cognitive specialists and present the full detailed results side by side, along with demanding equal time from the media, for every word in print or second on air that they devote to Biden's "issues" they need to do the same with Trump. That would be the only sensible, fair and equitable option.

The Stephanopoulos interview was almost as bad as the debate.
But what can they do now?

You want a crack addict in the WH? Because there is a crack addict in our WH.
Trump was well known for cocaine at parties and now abuses adderall. So nothing new there except Hunter isn't President.
No he isn’t and no he’s not. I dare you to put a link to a reputable media source that details Trump’s cocaine parties and adderall addiction.
Drop a link to support your claims.
Citations only required when a Democrat is being criticized. When the criticism is directed at a republican, no evidence needed and it’s all ok, doncha know.
+1
Joe Biden is a heroin addict and he used his vicious dogs to protect his heroin stash. Joe Biden is well known for heroin parties, arranged by Hunter.
Joe Biden's heroin dealer comes to the White House disguised as a sasquatch but he's actually an alien shapeshifter.
Yeaaaa sure buddy.
Sorry but there's tons of stories out there about Trump parties and cocaine. I worked in the NYC area in the 1990s and 2000s and all of this stuff was well known. You must be living in a cave.
You are a liar. I was born in NYC in 1976. Born there and raised there. Trump is famously anti-drug and anti-alcohol. You are a liar.
Exactly. Most Democrats are pathological liars.

We need to stand with good ol Uncle Joe at this critical time. He has given his life to all of us, and he needs a few more years to complete his important work.
We all know he has the best cabinet and executive support team of any recent president, and as a bonus, he gets wise counsel from his spouse and siblings -people with real life experience, unlike Drumpf’s kids.
People, stop bickering! Everything will be fine. Americans don’t want to be subjected to the draconian rules of Project 2025. Joe has a lot more support than what the elite media would have you believe. Get on board, and don’t be left behind
I really want to know what you are smoking because I want the same. I can't even write the above as sarcasm and it looks like you actually meant it. Joe is done, over, I am a lifelong democrat and I am not voting for a senile guy who can't form a coherent sentence. Sorry.
Love watching the dems eat their own.

My question is how stupid do Democrats think their fellow voters are that the only guy who can get out their vote is this senile old husk?
And before you chime in with "but Trump", I'll inform you that every conservative I know finds Trump's demeanor embarrassing, but we recognize the reasons why he is so popular. It's BECAUSE he makes you all so mad that people feel the need to festoon their cars, houses and boats with flags bearing his name. It's not out of worship for the man, it's because it's a middle finger in your eye.
I would prefer a more dignified conservative candidate but they have never gotten anywhere because they rarely have any fighting spirit. So we are stuck with the buffoon who fights. But what does Biden have that makes him the winner, to the point where the other candidates mysteriously dropped out to pave the way for him in 2020? What's the attraction that makes him the most popular Democrat of all time, vote-wise? Tell me.
I don’t want to vote for Biden, but Trump is a criminal and will appoint more conservatives to the court.
It's been made abundantly clear that you'd vote for a corpse over Trump. My question is why the corpse over the myriad of younger, more competent Democrats. Out of the Democrats I know, absolutely no one likes Biden but they are all resigned to him. How did he win the primary if no one likes him?
Same way he won the election in 2020 while sitting in his basement doing nothing, maybe reading the occasional teleprompter. It was like giving the Make-a-wish kid the football and he gets to score a touchdown when nobody is allowed to tackle him.
An example of how the way was paved for old Joe: Trump tried to expose his blatant corruption in Ukraine, and was impeached for it.
It does feel different this time around, like Trump has turned the tables somehow, and Joe’s ring of protection is gone.
Drumpf hasn’t won anything yet, and good luck to him getting past millions of voters who staunchly oppose Project 2025
How does Trump expect to win the women vote?

Trump won the only primary that matters, the one that you and I don't get to vote in. He won that primary by being more pro-Israeli/war than Biden and his crew. He's bean picked to give them the war they want.
