This is so funny because New Yorkers are the ones who think nowhere exists outside of New York. And that people born and raised in what they call “flyover” are lesser . I want to say to each and every one of them- hey, manhattan is not the only place in the world! Try to explore more places!

They like a lot of places, globally. They just tend to sneer at most of the US outside of a few major cities, but they are generally passport holders who travel a lot ("unlike the rubes in flyover country...

The people who are 1/24th Italian - couldn't even trace back to an Italian relative if needed but yet - I am NONA, I have pasta every Sunday when every person must come to NONA's for the meal. NONA's traditions trump everyone else's life. Yet NONA never goes to Mass.
