Several staff were fired over violating the dress code by wearing Palestinian flag pins/colors. Several staff members also disapproved of the fundraisers the restaurant held for a charity that supports the IDF as well as paying for dinners of people that were flying to Israel to serve in the IDF.
The server who was inside the restaurant at the time of the protest thought it was peaceful and not antisemitic.

They article doesn't change the fundamental conclusion: a Jewish restaurant owner was targeted because he's Jewish, serves falafel, and organized a fundraiser for an Israeli medical charity.
The protesters and servers come across as complete a**hats.
What are you talking about? It totally changes the conclusion. The restaurant wasn't targeted because of the owner's religion, it was targeted for its anti-Palistinian actions. And even the server who was inside the restaurant thought the protest was peaceful.

Peaceful isn’t the issue. These protesters targeted the owner bc of his religion and the food he served and “charged [him] with genocide”.
This is no different than if pro Israeli protesters targeted Muslim owned restaurants.

1. There was absolutely no discrimination. A uniform policy was enacted; the employees violated it. Separately, in a human level, wearing a Palestinian flag pin in front of your Jewish employer is a disgusting thing to do.
2. The charity has killed exactly no one.
This is like me publicly charging the local shawarma shop with being Hamas supporters just bc they’re Muslim and donate to MSF.

There is nothing wrong with wearing a Palestinian pin in front of a Jewish person. That is not disgusting. I do agree that it is not discrimination since it was a violation of the uniform policy.
The charity actively works with and donates to the IDF. The IDF kills lots of people, including children.
The owner actively supports Israel in this war, by donating to a charity that works with the IDF and by paying for meals for IDF soldiers. It looks like the protesters targeted the restaurant for those reasons, not because the owner is Jewish.
However, I do agree that protesting at restaurants is not helpful and should not be done.
