There is a difference. The kids from private schools are better prepared for college. It's not going well for public school kids in college these days...very rude awakening for them. I hear this from parents and professors.

GDS outperformed Sidwell last year. Holton’s college outcomes are better than NCS this year, based on the instagram posts. Way too soon to call a trend.
The private schools kids will be fine!

I’m another old person. I only started thinking about college recently because my son will be entering high school. These boards scare me. It seems like ivies are now lotteries, even for legacies. Schools I considered safeties are now highly sought arter.

NYU is relatively easy from Sidwell. They absolutely love the kids for some reason and Naviance is surprisingly forgiving

DP but while I don’t consider it elite, schools like BU, Tulane, and NYU are very hard to get into nowadays, especially if you don’t do early decision.

BU and NYU yes Tulane no. They are infamous for manipulating admissions in a Colby/NEUish way and it is easy to get into with an EA app
