The losing team got blown out. What was so special about this team that should be the first runner up in history to go to the White House? The only reason is that they are white and it’s obvious, but it’s not a big deal. She was just being white.
Why assume race?
My assumption is Jill wanted to be inclusive and elevate women’s college basketball.
The president can and has broken with tradition to create new traditions. It’s sad that this has been labeled as racist…by a young woman who clearly sees racism everywhere. Can’t say I blame her. Angel was raised near Baltimore, a city where racial lines are drawn and the black community feels left behind. Jada similarly sees race in everything thanks to her Baltimore upbringing.

Hardly. Angel Reese was a finalist for the award last year at Maryland, when it was awarded to South Carolina superstar, Aliyah Boston. Numerous other Black players were finalists on the Wooden ballot this year, including Maryland's Diamond Miller and Boston. Frankly, claiming that Reese was unjustifiably snubbed based on race subjects her to unfair scrutiny of her academic record. Hopefully, she is figuring it out.
I'll also note that the NCAA women's basketball Academic All-American team included Caitlin Clark (All-American Player of the Year - Marketing Major 3.6 GPA) as well as Boston, a communication major with a 3.76 GPA. Among her many accolades, this is Boston's third selection as an Academic All-American. She is remarkable!

Looked like Zack Edey and Caitlin Clark had a great time in LA picking up the Wooden Awards this week.

She was never not going to go. She’s thirsty. She is going for the attention. Then after the WH, when the world moves on, she’ll get increasing desperate to drum up attention and chase that high from last week. Watch and see if I’m not spot on.
