This depressing tiny house for 1.3+? No thank you!
Different pP and not saying the house is a good deal especially as I don’t know the prices in that area well. But you are a fool if you cannot see beyond lack of staging and landscaping. This house is no more depressing than a lot of other colonial in the area. The living room is not small, the kitchen and bathrooms are perfectly fine, can’t see depressing there

That payment would have gotten you a relative palace just 2-3 years ago.
I know -- I say the same thing all the time -- look what we could've gotten 2-3 years ago. But I guess looking back isn't helping at all. (Not OP by the way). Not sure what we are going to do.
What every single person in the past has done... buy something they can afford. Because they were all thinking about what if too. But they eventually bought.

OP again. Thank you!
May we be as supportive of people who are priced out of much cheaper homes or out of any home at all.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Here are some real numbers, I bought in 2017 for $1,325,000 at 3.65% and put down 750K. That was a $2,600 mortgage (just p&i)
today six years later my house is worth $1,625,000 (not a huge jump).
But that $575K mortgage I took out would now be a $875K mortgage with same $750K down and at 6% would be $5,246 a month.
Side note but +300k in 6 years is a big jump no? Just saying there are not a lot of 6 years period in past 30 y that would show same type of appreciation
