Good eating today but not enough vegetables. So hard to be consistently eating healthy. But kept to sugar goal and did not overeat. Definitely not enough protein.

Protein makes a huge difference. You’re right.

I went to dance class. I had too much sugar but did not overeat. A better day today!

Well yesterday was better but I still ate some chocolate and not just a square or two. I did get in a short jog but it was so hot at the only time I could run it was kind of frustrating. Boo.

New day, going to try to eat lots of salad and fruit and protein (what probably makes the biggest difference in my cravings honestly).

I am 100% with you, Alex. I’m not doing well. Again. Crap. I’m irritated at myself. Good job ordering healthy food. Have to keep getting back up again.

Hi guys- I did great avoiding sugar at all our actual events but didn’t eat enough real food for dinner (which was a super early bbq) and I shoved chips and chocolate in my mouth in between running around getting my kids cleaned up and asleep and crashing myself. I was SO tired from the sun swimming and socializing. When will I ever learn…

I’m going to place an Instacart order for a bunch of healthy food and try to start fresh. Mad at myself but trying to shake it off.

Yesterday DD made a coffee cake and I had two pieces while we watched the fireworks on TV. I also ate a chocolate bar. I did no exercise. So, not a great day health-wise BUT we had a great day as a family and I worked on the Anna costume I’m making for our Disney cruise later this summer. Back to normal today.

Welcome, Angie! and great job with the veggies and lean meat. I definitely find that keeping stuff out of the house is the best defense against keeping it out of my mouth.

Alexandra--we all have days like that. It's so strange that we do it even knowing we won't feel better afterwards physically or emotionally.

Yesterday was OK for me. I did end the day with a piece of homemade banana bread and two marshmallows but had eaten good foods the rest of the day. I am finally at my normal weight! I haven't seen that number in months so it was great to be back there. It is Day 5 of my cycle when I am at my lightest anyway, but I'm not going to let that make me feel any less accomplished. I'm eating fruit and nuts with milk for breakfast and have a falafel salad planned later for lunch. I went for a good run this morning and will fit in some strength training later. It's a lighter work day with most folks off so I'm getting good work done.

Hi Angie and Michelle (and Kate!)

Yesterday I ate a bunch of sweets. Not even anything special/worth it. I think I mentally gave myself a pass because it was the first day of my period and I was really down. But it didn’t help so….

Went for a walk/run. Will need to be more consistent if I’m going to really run these days.

So far I haven’t eaten badly but it’s been a lot of grab and go but at least it’s been a fun day. Will get in some fruit and veggies later

Hi everyone, I'd like to join!

Trying very hard to cut down/eliminate sugar b/c of a chronic illness and auto-immune issues.

I'm doing pretty well, but chocolate is my downfall. I am getting to the point where I am not sure I should have it in the house.

Today I've eaten very well, loads of veggies and salads and lean meat. I did eat a TJ dark chocolate sunbather cup, but it was the last in the bag, so I literally can't go back for more.

I've been able to limit my desserts to once every 2 weeks by eating sweet protein foods daily. I've found that products that mix small amounts of sugar and monk fruit as the sweeteners have the most convincing taste. I've become used to feeling full and energized from the protein boost, so it feels like I'm missing something when I eat a traditional dessert and don't feel full. It took a few weeks, but now I naturally want less. I recommend the aloha brand chocolate peanut butter cup protein bars, and the koia brand chocolate banana protein drinks.

Agree that intense exercise helps. My knee is bothering me a bit so I’ve been waking rather than running. I did OK today. Did not overeat. Made decent choices. Not perfect. But better than Thursday and Friday! I really want to meet my goals. It’s so hard to stay motivated. I know if I can get 2-3 good days under my belt, it’s easier.

Chips are so good. It’s hard to avoid them. I wish my DH wouldn’t buy them.

Sorry Kate. Being on the road seems very hard for healthy eating. I’ve been doing ok on sugar but eating so many carbs and the occasional too big serving of chips.

Feeling less terrible about myself but the scale isn’t really budging. Although I just ate a whole cinnamon sugar muffin- sooo good. Next week work should be better so will try to get in some more intense exercise and do better with sleep. I only did some walking and Pilates/ barre this week.

Well, the days on travel were pretty much a disaster. Crap. I’ve got to get back in the game. No sugar today. Veggies and fruits. I can do it.

Way to go, Michelle!

No problems yesterday even though I was on the road. Today may be a little harder because the food is provided. I’m going to do my best to avoid sugar but not be too hard on myself but other choices. I did do a little work out this morning in the hotel. But I’m taking it easy because of the smoke.

Wishing everyone a great day!

Hi Michelle here,
long time no see, trying to stay off the internet too much. But just checking in - now that summer is here I'm all about the ice cream. LOL. But apart from that I feel solid -
