No other dmv A team will be able to compete with the recruiting and brand of capital. Capital attends the best recruiting tournaments including the g8 that stars and pride and nc elite are not invited to, has the best brand and Gussie is very well respected.
I would agree with this…. Capital is not strong their freshman year but the 26 orange team is still ranked much higher than other local A teams and also has the Capital brand behind them
There isn’t one college coach out there that cares how a club team is ranked freshman year. Go to Capital Orange - do the work- get better and get seen sophomore year when it counts and you’re playing YJ, Mass Elite, etc. Pride is NEVER in the brackets with the top teams and often not invited to the biggest tournaments.
For those who have DDs wanting to play in college simply go with the club that will provide your DD the opportunity to play the best teams. College coaches will not care about wins or losses, they will want to see a competitive game and how your DD performs agains this competition.
Do your homework, look at past schedules and performance of clubs, ask club directors what their plan is for scheduling and what commitment they are making to building a competitive team.
Be careful of misinformed posters like the one above who could have easily disproven their own post with a simple Google search. For example, just two years ago Pride’s 2023 team played the second toughest schedule in the country. The top three were:
1. Yellow Jackets
2. Pride Black
3. Capital Blue
I’m not advocating for Pride or against Capital. But to state Pride NEVER plays top teams or in top brackets is not an accurate statement.
Again, having a daughter playing in college, if provided options, go with the club that will play the best competition.
What source did you use to source the schedule strength of the teams you cite here?
Is there a way to find out where the 23/24 Pride Black girls got recruited to vs. Capital?

How could 7 Stars make Blue and only 5 Pride if Pride is the much better team? Probably more Stars than Pride on Orange too. Moral of the story, get your kids into Stars in middle school if the goal is to play for Capital.
But if the goal is to actually get them to be good then…
Then.... get them to be coached by KJ,KC, and DW. They actually coach and develop the girls.....
Except none of them are coaching the 2027 teams. It's Coach Brendan and Coach Kaity - this information comes straight from KC.
But they coached the 27 LB Stars team and developed the girls.
Coach Brendan is a great coach.
Who is coaching Pride 27???

If true, both of whom are excellent coaches and will be able to further develop the girls’ skills.
