Everyone is afraid of him.
When you have such fear of your boss, you get into the habit of only telling him “yes.”
He has surrounded himself with subservient “yes men.”

His inner circle has been shrinking for several years, and he has always had advisors who are crazier than him.
I think it's long past time that we stopped calling them crazy. They're just stupid. Crazy gives them too much credit. They're actually thinking this through and planning these fiascos. It's all been intentional. They're just stupid.

What moron was telling Putin that?
He apparently decided that for himself.

As discussed above, they had a better army than it appears Russia is.
Correction to pp - Iraq had a better army than Ukraine and Russia.
It is like we are watching Blue jello wrestle a paraplegic. Ukraine had no intention of fighting, but was better prepared than 2014.
Ukraine does not have the cash for big weapon systems and obviously like 50% of Russias budget was embezzled.
People fight differently when they fight for their homeland. The Russian soldiers don’t know what they are doing there and fight accordingly. Remember the only ppl in the Russian army are those with no better alternatives.
Come to think of it, not that different from here, it’s rare to see sons of Mc and umc in uniform.
Not quite the same. Russia has conscription. Everyone has to do 2 years.
Lol you have SO much to learn about the way draft works in Russia.
+1
Anyone who can avoid the army does so. My coworkers have spoken of arranging for fake medical papers to get their younger family members back home out of having to sever.

They basically had that when they annexed Crimea. That’s not what they’re going after now.
