Or maybe my underlying premise is just wrong and Democrats are just as likely to self-identify as liberal.
I wonder whether Jan 6 fallout is changing that? Plus the Trump rallies looked like Jonestown cult meetings - I have life long conservative friends who were horrified by both and the extreme radicals self identifying as conservatives ….
Sensible people prefer to not place too much of their identity in arbitrary labels that mean different things to different people …

You know, it is possible to disagree with your affiliated political party on specific issues. It is a complicated world. I question the critical thinking capabilities of those who align with their political party on every topic.
