I’m 54 and started having fillers done here and there in my 40s. I wouldn’t do it again if I could go back. Even if you don’t have a particularly adverse reaction, it looks good for a period of time but builds up over time and starts to look weird. I will comment that my friends who did what I did all look a little weird now that we are in our 50s. Overblown, a bit puffy, with some areas that look younger than other parts, and just weird. Ironically the friends who did next to nothing seem to be aging more beautifully. If I had a big issue like a gobble neck, I would take care of it, but I would stay away from fillers.

Why? That's when people start to see the lines and sagging associated with aging but skin is still relatively firm and plump enough that filler will help. Once you get to 50s+ then you are sort of beyond filler and into facelift territory.

Also lot of young women, even college age, use filler for that Instagram look. A lot of women don't want to look natural, that's the point for them.

I’m in my late 30s. I’ve had injections mainly in my cheeks and around my tear troughs. I’m happy with the results-they look natural and have helped refresh my appearance without being overdone.

48. Just got cheeks for nasolabial folds. I like it !! I think I might do my marionette lines too. I used restalyne Lyft. I hope it lasts a while because it’s expensive! I also bruised for about a week in one cheek.

I’m 39 and have been getting light fillers in my cheeks, lips and jawline every 6 months for ~5 years maybe. I do the cheeks specifically to help reduce the appearance of my nasolabial folds, rather than getting them in the folds themselves which looked weird to me. I get 2 syringes - so about 2 blueberries worth -spread out between all those areas. I love it and have no plans to stop ever.

go to Dr. Alster or Tanzi. Dr. Kearney is trending a bit but they all look carbon copied. You can see them a mile away.

If possible do surgery and avoid fillers

You can do restalyne. I switched because juvederm always migrated.

How were your results with restalyne?

Me too. And I have nasolabial lines also. Nothing seems to help. I haven’t tried fillers and probably won’t.

Will a chemical peel help these areas?

My hairdresser had his fillers migrate from his eyes. They looked noticeably bad. I’d rather have surgery.
