Tuckernuck has been such a disappointment. They appeal to girls, not women. Which is odd based on their target market.

I'm your height and built narrower, most especially through the shoulders. Puff sleeves look like they are eating my head.

Traditionally grown women got the ruffles and poofy sleeves. That kind of dress was seen as womanly. Girls got simple, A-line dresses and straight sleeves because they would outgrow their dresses.

This is all to say women should wear what they want

There is more of a herd mentality here in the DC area than I've seen in other places, where people might wear something older that suits them.

Oddly enough, in my more down market social scene in this area, most women are wearing capris or white pants to casual social events, while I'm the one wearing a casual dress because I'm about to sweat to death.

Can't wear any dress that puts the midsection under my boobs and then the bottom fits 3 people.

I'm 5'2" so I can't wear long dresses without looking extremely dumpy. These dresses look great on tall thin women, I guess, but very much not my style.

I'm okay with a puffy sleeve on a sleek dress or shirt though. I have several of the FRAME tops and they look really good.

Mmmm, I hate to tell you but the very fact that you are using these dresses to hide your mom belly actually accentuates that you don't have a good body. They look frumpy.

I'm 5'1" and have been wearing versions of this dress since high school/ college in the 70s. Hippie dresses, maternity dresses, boho dresses, French versions, Japanese versions, and so on.

About a decade ago, I quit wearing them in florals, now usually only in black, natural and white. They are a hot weather staple in my closet. They work for me.

I'm 5'0" and I hate this trend. I have broader shoulders and a more athletic build (I don't curve in at the waist). I don't need or want more poof on my shoulders. I also need a shorter length. All of these dresses seem to be long, which overwhelms my height.
