Admiral Alvin Holsey refused the orders and was forced to resign and retire. But hey, he will not have to answer to war crimes and his conscience is clear.

Yep, using his name over and over and over. It’s just going to further tank Hesgeth’s reputation within the military. Follow his illegal orders and get thrown under the bus at the first sign of trouble.
The Admiral wanted that promotion. Trump made him an Admiral and then he was moved into this position in October when the other guy said, "deuces, I'm out. I am not following that order to shoot civilian boats out of the water". I mean what did this Admiral expect was going to happen - Trump would protect him. We will see.

If the secretary tell you to kill a 3 year old, two people who survived your strike or us civilians you should refuse the order. Now the DOD will court martial you or just summary executed you.

Of course. All members of the armed forces have been advised they not only can, but are obligated to refuse to carry out an illegal order!

They not only can but they must. Members of the military are required to refuse illegal orders as the second strike obviously was.
Everyone involved needs to go down. If they don’t it just says that you can murder people and commit crimes whenever it suits you.
