I’ve been trying to find a good place to buy a solid gold (14 or 18k) ring for my daughter but I’m not sure what sites to trust. Ideally, we’d like to shop in person but it seems most are online businesses. Any suggestions? TIA.

Ring Concierge is actually a good choice - I have a lot of fine jewelry and have been happy with RC pieces bought for my daughters (and a gold ring for me!).

I already have a "lock" from this designer, and I want to have them restring my pearls so I can use them together:

Looks awfully cheap.

PO who replied does not know jewelry and/or did not read the description. Probably just saw the (actual) thread and didn’t know what it was for. Marla Aaron locks are beautiful and the idea of adding that to restricted pearls is amazing - what a great way to freshen up an old necklace that’s never worn!

the ring is very pretty. I just have to add- I have a bracelet from lagos that I got for a big birthday and the quality is not good. I have already had it replaced twice in the last year. It has been really disappointing. I have a lagos ring from 15 years ago and it is so much better quality.

That’s really good to know. I’ve heard that about a lot of brands. I have some older David yurman bracelets and they are heavier than the newer ones.

Coasting on name/branding...

DH bought me my dream one for Christmas. Of course I am not supposed to know about it, but I do.

I want a new one, too. But I haven’t picked anything out yet.

I liked this birdie and I saw a panther earring that I am deciding between but I already have a lot of cat themed jewelry.

The smaller earrings are on my wish list!

Love the Abigail Hoops!

I think I’m also getting this

Jewelry is always on my list. My gifts are a combination of surprise and things I pointed out that I want.

Love that necklace.

Really? It looks like that tacky Tiffany chain everyone wore in my middle school 6th grade class in the 90s but somehow worse with the gaudy :stone:.

Lol, this is kind of mean but made me think the same. I still have my “Return to Tiffany” silver necklace I got in my early 20s. Hoping my young daughter might find it cool someday. Lol.
