Note to all future Oscars and Emmy producers -- I do not want one single second of the In Memoriam to show the singers. There were some truly amazing actors that passed this year and instead of giving us some clips of them in action -- or even telling us which shows the various directors, etc., were famous for -- we got long wistful shots of the singers.

I don't think the audience ever bregridges them the time showing the people that passed this year. But we all hate the schlocky crap.

I don't think I even knew that Loretta Switt passed this year, and there were several others that I didn't see in the news when they passed. People that were in my home weekly for years and years and, to some degree, feel a little like family. I think a lot of people feel that way about George Wendt, Malcolm Jamal-Warner, Loreta Switt, etc....

Kirsten Bell's dress is just awful. Looks cheap/trashy without even being edgy or adventurous.

Would have liked to see something totally wacky like What We Do In the Shadows win.

Seriously - wtf??? I said to my husband “who did he pay off”???? How was that show winning so much I stopped watching after awhile. It sucked.

He was swearing and they are running a delay to blank those out. It is more confusing than the old school method of bleeping the swear words. Hence Nate B's asking "So you can just swear now on TV?"

John Oliver has issues.

Carrie - WTF. Girl, you are on GILDED AGE. You ought to know better.

She has a perfect body, why did she have to butcher it with those rags.

What a ridiculous dress.

I love this dress.

It looked nice on her! It seemed to me that Kathy Bates had the same dress but in a more modest version.

Vince Gil’s voice seems so weak? Is that normal (I don’t know his work). A sound problem? (The woman sounds fine)

There were so many surprises early- Jeff Hiller! Andor! Slow Horses! - that I was really hoping What we do in the shadows would pull one out. But, to be honest, I didn't love the finale. Parts were clever but it was a little too clever to be a relaly good finale episode.

I feel like they're actually getting it right this year. Very pleased with the winners list so far.

GREAT that Adolescence has won many awards. Excellent movie that was very hard to watch and important to see.

My 8 yr old reviews people's outfits:

Parker Posey: Oh wow wow wow that's my favorite her dress is so pretty and fluffy!

Jenna Ortega: So like a necklace that covers her boobs? Hmmm, interesting. Those are really big jewels.

I would watch an 8 year old red carpet commentator!
