Are fried green tomatoes good? They don’t really tempt me.

I don't know if they still exist, but when I was a teenager in upstate NY (Elmira area) you would get fish fry on Friday nights - it was only on Fridays. The better fish fries always seemed to be from the real "dive" bars.

Man, there's a ton of stuff that I have had, that I would love to repeat on!

Sourdough from San Francisco
Coffee in Seattle
Cheesesteak in Philly
Beef on Weck in Buffalo
Italian Beef Sandwich in Chicago
Pierogies in Pittsburgh
Crabcakes / Crab at the Eastern Shore / Baltimore
Thrashers Fries on the Boardwalk in OCMD - kinda random but love them.

IDK, there are so many awesome options out there! Enjoy.

I think ethnic foods have taken on a new US twist and are a thing in itself.

I agree. Also, some may disagree, but you can get plenty of ethnic food here that’s as good as what you get in the cuisine’s native country. Italian, Korean and Middle Eastern food can be found a lot of places that’s as good as any you will get without hopping on a plane. On the flip side, there is plenty of bad Italian here in the states, but I have had mediocre pasta and pizza in Italy too.

As for Alina type meals, it will be wonderful but whether you feel pranked afterwards really comes down to how much you could afford it and how well you already eat. I'm an excellent cook and eat well at home so it didn’t stand out as phenomenal, but I had an enjoyable time. But I also am not in a hurry to dine there again because the cost benefit ratio isn't there for me.

I mentioned Maryland crabcakes back on page 1.
