You could play dumb "there's a terrible smell and smoke! Something is wrong!"

Smoking/vaping any substance in a non smoking place is just obnoxious. They can and will get fined for it.

I don't get why people are so afraid to report people who are breaking the rules. Flip it around, are they better than you? Because that is their attitude. The rules apply to you, but not to me.

People have lost all respect for others. If the rule is no smoking. Then be respectful and not smoke.

If it’s getting into my non-smoking room, I’d call the front desk. Let the hotel figure out who is exactly smoking and what to do about it.

Yes, if they agreed to stay in a place that forbade it and then broke those rules.

It’s bad enough that the hotel banned it. The guests agree not to smoke. This isn’t hard.

The smokers should get a room with a balcony. Otherwise, don’t light up.

What part of hotels are non-smoking establishments is so difficult for you to comprehend? If you can't go a day or two without smoking, then stay in a dumpy Air B and B where it's allowed.

The people insisting on smoking in public areas and hotel rooms are almost always horrible people. Don't engage with them. But do let the front desk know.
