She reported ME and how I was failing her child, not the behavior or disruptions. She was upset about ME, not the terrible other child ruining it for everyone.

No no, you misunderstood. All of that was going on in my classroom, but she reported me for not teaching her child, not being a good teacher, etc etc.

Cut off contact and if she asks why, you can say you found out more information about her actions at the former job. Do not engage. Let her know you know she’s a skunk.


This was essentially my question. If she tries to engage, I kinda plan to ignore her. But I didn't know if she'd be so bold as to ask WHY I am cold to her.

It is not a rumor. I stupidly ignored my gut, honestly, and "let her in" earlier in the school year. But then I suspected she turned on me, so I kept her at arms length. I knew she was unhappy with me as a teacher but I didn't know it was that bad.

I assure you, this is the case. Which is why it was so tragic and toxic. I was/am an INCREDIBLE educator. The principal is running it into the ground.

I work in finance, which is obviously a very different field, but something like this happened to me and I mostly let it go. BUT then the person actually end up getting himself fired from our previous organization and in my new role at a place I know he wanted to work, I went to recruiting and told them to put him on the do not hire list.

Instead of focusing on her, I woud explore why you weren't able to see through her and work on enhancing your discernment. Karma will take care of her.
