I did my first trip to Spain this year. The Alhambra was cool, but I have easily seen the equivalent in Morocco
For me, the Mosque in Cordoba, and the Palau de Musica in Barcelona were the prettiest part of my trip
Next year I hope to do Madrid and Sevilla but in March
I would pick coastal areas if I went in June

I agree with this. I'm not sure what all the fuss is about, although I had a nice time while I was there.
I'd either go to the north of Spain, or the very south. The trains are fantastic, so you could fly into Madrid and then get the train to the south.
Where in the south do you recommend? We want to tack several days in a nice beach location onto the end of a trip to elsewhere in Spain.
