I watched them and they have gotten worse playing 11v11 since they can't kick and run.
That's comical. You have no idea what you are talking about and are just trying to troll Bethesda parents. Fine, I'll take the bait.
You have obviously never watched the Bethesda 09s. They have never been kick and run. Like ever. There problem is actually the opposite and they spend too much time making 5 and 10 yard passes while never going forward with the ball. It might look good but it does not get results.
Bethesda's start has nothing to do with the players or the players skills or development. Size could be an issue but in reality it is simply because there are two roosters in the roost telling the hens to do two different things. The girls are confused and intimidated.
Probably should mention 3 of the 4 losses this season were to teams that are just plain better teams. Loudoun 2x (2-1, 2-0), and Matchfit (1-0). Matchfit is one of the very best 2009 teams in the entire US. I could get into the Lower Merion loss but that is not worth the time or energy. A bad loss is a bad loss. Happens to just about every good team. No excuses. Really, it's not like Lower Merion is that bad of team either.
So unless you have a child that plays at Loudoun, you have absolutely nothing to stand on. There is not another team in the DMV that has
beaten a top team in our area. Arlington has not beaten a top 100 team this year. The toughest competition Metro has seen is an EDP team in Coppermine and they split games.
Trust me when I say I would absolutely love to see Arlington or Metro play Matchfit or PDA. I am sure the Pipeline parents would agree with me.
