Husband: “I thought that was your quarantine wine.”

Me: Shhh.

NYC appt person - you can order extra meals from your takeout places and freeze them (if freezable). We just did this with our favorite takeout place to have fav meal on standby.

I went to Costco for regular shopping because we are out of milk and paper towels. Paper towels, and water bottles are out of stock until later today. I am not going back though because it was so crazy. People were running with carts to get to the generic Costco toilet paper. Some people had carts loaded with toilet paper. Honestly buying one or two packs of TP when the coupons are out is stockpiling for a family. The canned food aisle with all the stuff that no one here ever buys like tuna fish, canned corn, canned chicken, canned beans was empty.

This was Target as well. No tp, and only banged up containers of Lysol wipes. Looked like a walking dead zone.

Not sure it’s been covered but
A thermometer
Humidifier
Vick’s
Tissue

We are older and never use a thermometer- checked it today and it was dead ( no battery that can be replaced)

That's totally me!

Then we faux shame each other when someone in the house eats something “good”.

What are you doing eating a peanut butter sandwich?! That’s our shut in food!

Me to the kids yesterday:

Don’t open the container of fake eggs in the fridge - those are armageddon eggs. And so it begins...LOL

We’ve all lost our minds!

Indeed, but at least we are a collective

How does your lunch meat last 2 weeks?

I didn’t buy a 25 lb bag of rice because I don’t eat rice. I bought some boxes of pasta, sauce, tuna, peanut butter and jelly, a few frozen things at Costco. No need to go crazy or overthink. Just stock up your kitchen with some basics that won’t go bad. And don’t forget to get food for your dog!

I think FEMA has some lists on their site.

I would think in categories

Food
pets
health (prescriptions, birth control, first aid kit-I focused on fever reducers and inhalers because we have asthma)
personal care
entertainment

Yeah, my house is packed with food and I just ate a few chive dumpligs and a bowl of cereal. I am going to make some kimchi later.
