Tholen is the clear favorite, I agree. Mobasheri makes the most sense though.
For whom? I can't think of anyone outside western Great Falls zoned for Langley who would have the slightest interest voting for Mobasheri.

Mobasheri is clearly dishonest and out for self first, Great Falls second (maybe. It's obvious that he would cut a deal that GF wouldn't like as long as his section would be okay) and the rest of Dranesville not at all.
People can go to the sites and watch debates and choose. I hope in the next week voters take the time to consider candidates. I choose Karloutsos.
Not sure how you come to these conclusions, but I choose Mobasheri. I am tired of politics as usual.
I've heard the 3 of them. Tholen got the FCDC endorsement so it's a lock and what's she done with it other than spout the party line as dictated by Corbett Sanders. This bond referendum is disgusting. Keys Gamarra has been totally useless and all these schemes have even the lowest income people in Dranesville District paying via their rent or owned property taxes for porky pig projects in other districts. Not even transparent enough to inform all of Hutchison in an honest and forthright fashion.
One Fairfax? How the heck is it equitable to take away community use land from an area walkable to by many poor immigrants from Central America?

A few Ardavan signs.
Perhaps most of his support is secret.

And nearly everyone else is tired of Ardavan.
He won't win, though. It's either Elaine or Anastasia.

The acknowledgment that Tholen is campaigning hard and will do a good job, if elected, belies the suggestion that Tholen doesn’t want the position. If she didn’t want the job, she could withdraw, avoid campaigning, or sabotage her own prospects at one of the many candidate forums she has attended. None of that has happened.
I think she will continue to recognize that some of her constituents, especially in the Langley areas, are skeptical towards, and dislike, the most aggressive possible interpretation of the One Fairfax policy. Many current School Board members have already gotten that message.
They certainly weren't expecting parents to catch on to what they were doing.
If those pushing the re-sort by race are re-elected, then that is the public giving them permission to continue as planned.
I'm sure at least some people agree with them.
The Dranesville incumbent is not running for re-election and neither she nor any current candidate for Dranesville is pushing “re-sort by race.”
It’s sad that the case for electing the candidates endorsed by the local Republicans is based on stoking fears as to the future plans of the School Board based on gross mischaracterizations of past discussions. And it’s even sadder to know that much of this misinformation is coming from the most privileged residents of the county, in the Langley HS district, who are apparently so fearful of their children’s ability to succeed that they would peddle this stuff. It is very similar to the Felicity Huffman/Lori Loughlin mindset.

Elaine is keeping her appointments and clearly wishing she were elsewhere.
Yes, Karloutsos supporters would prefer Elaine to Mobasheri, because while we think she will go along to get along on rearranging children by race, at least she's likeable. Maybe she can get us cheaper paper straws and probably knows the best brand/model of solar panels for future projects.
Mobasheri wanted the Dem nod so yes I'm sure he would prefer Elaine.
