Actually, Senator, I think the Republicans are who made it that way.

“Sen. David Perdue, a Georgia Republican up for reelection and a close Trump confidant, issued a blunt warning to GOP activists during an off-the-record conference call this week: Democrats are in position to turn his state blue and take the Senate.

"Here's the reality: The state of Georgia is in play," Perdue said Monday, according to an audio recording of a call with "Women for Trump" obtained by CNN. "The Democrats have made it that way."

Most republicans never liked Trump, just using him for their own agenda. Only Trump is stupid to think they like him and want to defend him.

I don’t think he gives a shit if anyone likes him, as long as they kiss his behind.

I think that people saying nice things about him means to him that he's loved.

He doesn't understand people.

Please explain.

+1 be specific, please. Which incumbent Democrats are going to lose? You need more than Doug Jones to gain “seats” while also retaining every single Republican seat. Cory Gardner at a minimum is toast.

Shockingly, I got no response to this. But here is new polling on the Michigan Senate race, featuring Gary Peters who is widely thought to be the most vulnerable Democratic Senate incumbent besides Doug Jones in Alabama. These numbers are from a Republican pollster.

The Kansas GOP is trying to get some of their candidates to drop out ala Buttigieg and Klobuchar so they have one candidate to go up against Kobach.
“Kansas GOP chair Mike Kuckelman sent letters Thursday to two Republican candidates asking them to drop out of the race for U.S. Senate for the good of the party.

In nearly identical April 23 letters to Kansas Senate President Susan Wagle and former Johnson County Commissioner Dave Lindstrom, Kuckelman cited poor fundraising and polling data to argue that the candidates lack a viable path to the Republican nomination to replace retiring GOP Sen. Pat Roberts.

Kuckelman told the candidates that continuing their campaigns will endanger the party’s ability to hold the seat in November after eight decades of dominance in Senate races.”

No need to let a little thing like the facts spoil your delusion....

Wait, who do you think is deluded, and what do you think that article proves?

+1 thank you for posting the article, which is fascinating, but I think you are misunderstanding the word “swing.” Democrats have outperformed 2016 numbers in most elections since 2016. It doesn’t mean they won them all.

Not even remotely true. While things currently look favorable for the Dems, I don't think you should get too cocky.

Completely true. But keep thinking that the GOP is doing great. Be cocky. -DP

Lots of PTSD on the Democrat side from 2016. It's a good thing, it's been keeping all Democrats vigilant about contributing to every little local and state race since 2016.

No Democrat I know is even close to “cocky” about 2020. We're all scared to death. But elections swinging towards Democrats and fundraising numbers that are larger than those of Republicans are encouraging signs.

^ This completely reflects my thinking, and that of every sane person I talk to. We are all terrified, still in shock from 2016, and just the teeniest bit hopeful thanks to encouraging signs.
