Why do so many atheists seem to be so angry and condescending? In my life, I've seen only one atheist who isn't disrespectful to believers and others who don't share their belief system. Why?? Why can't atheists disagree respectfully?

I think the reverse.
Wouldn't they get a job if that was the case?

I believe the complete opposite. Like, women can't actually feel that valuable as a Sahm, right?

While I think some working moms legitimately enjoy working, I think a lot of them are still jealous that their husbands don't make enough to give them a choice.

If you lose your job, it's easier to pull the kids from private for a while than it is to make giant mortgage payments while you look for a new job. And privates are almost always better than even the good publics in that you can find a good fit for your kid, and have much more say over their education.
A house in a good school district is an appreiciating asset. And private school is full of pretentious twits. No thanks.

I feel the same way about pregnancy and the cult of motherhood. It's voluntary, you don't deserve any accolades.
I don't get this one. So, you think being a mother is nbd? Yes, thank god most of us voluntarily choose to be mothers.
I don't think society should fawn all over pregnant women, but if it weren't for pregnant women, this world would die out in a hurry.
As it stands, population growth is too high. At the rate we're going, the world is going to die out because of *too many* humans, not too few.
If motherhood and pregnancy weren't fetishized (sp?) and worshiped, then perhaps the rate of population growth would decrease a little. Some women would still have kids, and perhaps the ones who still decided to have them would actually be having them for the right reasons.
Society not only fawns all over pregnancy and motherhood, but it makes it VERY difficult for a woman to not choose that path and still be respected as a woman. That's a problem.
