I am wondering if there will be a point in time that college and pro athletes might use their voice and leverage on this?
It never fails: as soon as John Roberts rules from the bench that racism is over and we don’t need the civil rights era laws, southern racists start falling over each other to codify their racism.
Pretty weird argument for people who call themselves originalists.

How can it be legal to ever gerrymander based on partisanship. It means disenfranchised voters from one party or the other depending on the state. It means voters not receiving representation in the House. It basically nullified the entire system of the House of Representatives.
Gerrymandering based on any voter feature should be illegal. If you can’t do it for race, how can they possibly justify political party or ANYTHING else.
This is outrageous. It completely breaks the system.
Well. The system is actually broken already. GOPhas to cheat to win.
Partisan gerrymandering is indeed currently illegal and unconstitutional in Florida but DeSantis and the GOP state legislature don’t care. Remains to be seen what the Florida Supreme Court, stuffed with DeSantis and Scott appointees, will think.

There must be a better way in between do nothing and war.
Honestly I am so disturbed by this.
