For Maryland it was 1983 I think. I was grandfathered in and could drink in DC at age 18.

Going to the National Mall for 4th of July in 1976 to see 1 million people.
When they built the Mormon Temple and invited everyone to visit before it was consecrated. So much white inside.

Yes- we must be the same age or have sat right next to each other at these venues! They actually sold beer on the Mall for the 4th of July Beach Boys concerts.
