Stanford's yield is 81%. Presumably, people turn down Stanford for cost reasons or to attend HYPM.
I'm in CA and at least one of my DD's classmates turned down Stanford for a late admit to UC Berkeley. The $ difference is real.

William and Mary took some earlier in May. An email went out around the 3rd week of May saying the waitlist was closed. I would assume a few more will be taken depending on summer melt.

I bet they start moving the WL this evening after 5pm. They usually move on Thursday early evening and didn't move last week.
I'd expect ever Thursday the month of June.

With the various visa issues ongoing, when would the Harvard situation need to be straightened out before incoming freshmen are impacted and the school resorts to the waitlist, with potential ripple effects on other waitlists? How long does F1 processing normally take?

Either many more people decided to stay in state this year than previous years, they are reducing in state spots to offer more out of state hedging on international students disappearing or they are waiting and start doing in state waves in July. This year it does seem like the stats for OOS admits is crazy lower than for in state which is really pissing people off.
I'm in CA and several classmates of my daughter (Palo Alto HS) have received late waitlist admits from multiple UCs (including UC Santa Barbara, UCI, UC Davis, UC Santa Cruz).
